Access update
Access is limited to the area now. The gate right at the highway is quite often locked, and as of June 2014 there was a rock slide blocking the road 2km up. It can be hiked from the highway (completed Alexandra that way), but it adds several extra hours. Best bet is to hike up and camp between the 2 peaks. Make the extra elevation gain worth it!
After solving the minor problems of the 3rd bluff just below the comm station and how to get off the south summit without the axes we'd left at the car, Adrian turned out to be a pleasant outing.
Stunning views particularly of the south part of Strathcona.
Weather good apart from a frigid north wind on occasion.

A pleasant rambleApproached from the lake up "Buttle Bluffs" road.
