Mt Assiniboine

Mike on the second creek crossing. Someone notched the log with an ax but the spray made things very interesting where the bark was peeled. We donned harnesses for the trip back across the log the next day. Southern approach (B.C.) to Mt Assiniboine July 16, 2007 (Photo by Bob Boyles)

Hairy

Even with that line, it looks like a "do not slip" situation.

Re: Hairy

A slip would have been fatal, I'm sure. The creek bed is full of moss and polished rock not to mention a few logjams. A couple of hundred yards downstream it joins Assiniboine Creek where it triples in volume. We put our harnesses on and clipped into the cable for our late afternoon crossing when the water was 2' higher.
