Mt. Dana 13,057' Mt. Gibbs 12,773' is the peak to the immediate south center, Mt. Lyell 13,114' is the highest peak to the back right and Owens Valley is the deep set expanse way back left. The snowy White Mtns. extreme left of Owens Val. Above Tioga Pass, Yosemite Oct. '06

nice photo! Generally summit photos aren't that cool and are much better in person. Not the case for this one!

Thanks Alex. Dana has an awesome view. On this day it was late afternoon light in October, a fresh dusting of snow and super clear skies. All the right elements for this my 4th ascent of the peak.

Thanks Foster. Yes, the views from Dana are some of the most far reaching in the Sierra.
