Mt. Darwin summit block
30-July-2006: Mt. Darwin summit block - to get here after climbing the North Face you have to cross the summit plateau, then a short class 3 scramble down. From this angle it looked harder than class 4 (I think this is the west side), but it was fairly straightforward class 3 scrambling on the other side - scramble down a ways and then back up a gully. The rap slings are there in case you've read that this is class 4 :)

"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."   --Calvin Coolidge
