Mt Foraker Sunset at 17k
June 16, 2008 - Mt Foraker seen at midnight from the 17k Camp on Denali. The camp is so high compared to the rest of the region that if you look closely, you can see the curvature of the earth along the horizon!

This is one of my favorite photos on Summitpost already! Well done and beautiful view. Hope you don't mind if I have it my desktop background for a little while. A very beautiful atmosphere indeed! I consider this perhaps the most beautiful moments in mountaineering. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers Josh Lewis

"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."   --Jack London
