Mt Torment from the SE

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Mt Torment from the SE
Mt Torment showing the SE Face. The route starts from the snow directly below the center of the Face; the crux usually is gaining the rock across the moat. Two pitches of Cascades 4th class climbing takes you to easy but slabby rock. Watch out for much loose debris on the slabby ledges of the upper two thirds of the climb.

Definition: Cascades 4th class climbing; the degree of difficulty is usually 5th class but there are no protection points along the pitch. Note: Borrowed from Eric Sandbo.

Looking NNW from Sahale Arm July '06.
