Mt. Whitney

Sunrise on Mount Whitney from just below the Russell-Carillon Pass on a chilly but calm Fall morning. Just after taken the photo I could barely make them out, but was able to see a couple of figures raising their hands from the summit....obviously celebrating their victory of reaching the highest summit in the lower 48's, and a great way to greet a new day!
