Mummy Mania Peak 6  Sucess!

Final peak of the Mummy Mania route with my boy, Ben Kiser. It was a pretty easy ascent compared to Hagues and Fairchild, but it was killer being the final peak of a long day. We made our way over from Hagues to Mummy and tried our best not to lose much elevation, so we skirted around the boulders. The descent from Mummy down to Lawn Lake Trail was killer. Great way to end an 11.75-hour hike of 18.25 miles. 6,500+ feet of ascent / ~9,000 ft of descent. Heck yes!

Mummy Kill Peak 6  Sucess!

Our final peak of the Mummy Kill route. We contoured down to the saddle from the summit of Hagues. A trail runner passed us at the saddle. We followed his route up the northwest face. It looked like it might storm on us, but, luckily, storm clouds never fully developed. A great final peak to a 11.75 hour, 18.25 mile day of peak bagging!

From Lawn Lake TH  Sucess!

9/18/11 - Attemped as part of Mummy Mania but turned back on Chiquita due to winter-like wind.

9/19/11 - Fairchild, Hagues & Mummy from Lawn Lake. 21 miles, 7000 feet but it went quickly because of the good trail. Just under 10 hours RT.

Mummy Mania 6/6  Sucess!

Last summit of a long day. Dropped straight down the west face in well under an hour, to beat the sunset. Scary place to be. Nice work getting us down, Goldielocks. 5.7 mile hike out, keys in the wrong car, hitched a ride to alpine visitor center, walked 2 miles back to chapin pass.

Mummy - Hagues - Fairchild  Sucess!

Hiked all three peaks in a day after a camp at the Lawn Lake backcountry campsite. Watched the sunrise while ascending Mummy. The summit provided a great view of the Roaring River and the erosion caused by the 1982 flood.
