| Nice little 3/4 mile scramble to top over boulders. Nothing much to this one. Was looking for the Wasatch county high point and decided to walk to the top of this guy to see what view it offered. | |

| I was going to do this last year when i did Bald Mtn but my wife was feeling the effects of the altitude. So, I visited the peak on a trip to Mirror Lake. On the way home (after dark), we saw about thirty deer between Mirror Lake and Kamas. Drive carefully and alertly after dark in these mountains. | |

| Looking at the date I did this, McKinley was only 2.5 months old. I was going to to Bald with the kids that day but it looked a bit windy and cold. Murdock is lower and has trees much of the way. | 3/11/2009 Skied from about MM 14.5 on the Mirror Lake Highway almost to MM 29, just before Bald Mt. Pass and then made a bee line for the summit. After doing this one, went over to Cardwell and then back to the highway at about MM 28. The whole think was about 32 miles RT and took 12 hours. It was a beautiful day, cold to start, about 5 degrees, but by 10:30 temps were quite pleasant. With a recent snowfall, the going was slow on the highway and I even had to break trail for awhile before the snowmobilers showed up. 8/17/2002 Did Murdock and Cardwell after doing Scout Peak, Lofty Peak, and 10975. | |
