According to Dictionary.com, a hoodoo is defined as a pillar of rock, usually of fantastic shape, left by erosion. The marks left upon the landscape by erosion are visible all throughout the park.

Petrified Forest Loop. Fantastic hike, and a great place to spend a quiet night on the prairie.
