It is simply a Viewfinder.
Need to focus more quickly on the subject, without looking in vain through the telescope.
It is sufficient to collimate the telescope and viewfinder before starting (the floating head Manfrotto, makes this task faster) and start shooting.
I'm really Glad that you too become a Digiscoper (O:

Hasn't voted | Well, I haven't become a digiscoper yet, I'm only interested on digiscoping so I'm thinking on buying (not by the Net) gear for a new Sony dSLR. It's very good that you are in SP again Roberto. We'll comment many things and will enjoy our SPers posts again...
