Route Climbed: Palace-Castle-Gompa Ridge Traverse Date Climbed: 29 May 2005
Started at the Palace (reached roof of 9th floor via class 5 building scaling route), descended to Palace Entry, followed ridge up to Tsemo Castle across scree slope, class 3/4 ridgeline to monastery. Had to turn around a few times and routefind to avoid class 5.x sections. Tourists at the Gompa gave me strange looks when I came clambering up a pile of rocks to reach them!
