Perfect Nap Spot  Sucess!

I made it to the top after about an hour and fifteen minutes after some sweaty hiking. There were plenty of wildflowers to keep me company and I even found I nice reclining spot on the summit. A while later a five year old popped up on top. I thought that was impressive. Anyway, I saw lots of accipiters on the way. So majestic.

Thanks mountain!

Busy  Sucess!

Lots of traffic on the trail and the summit. The holiday weekend certainly didn't help anything. There was enough snow near the top for a couple short glissades. Definitely the highlight of the hike.

Tony Grove  Sucess!

This is probably my favorite hike in the area so far. Beautiful views from the summit. The snow is starting to accumulate. Winter is definitely on its way!

Naomi Peak  Sucess!

7/10/2013 Climbed from the Tony Grove trailhead. Really nice, easy hike to the summit. On the way down I made the slight diversion to Mount Magog. Well worth it, only added an extra hour to the overall hiking time. Great first impression of the Bear River Range.

SO SCENIC!  Sucess!

Abrennaline Rush and I decided on a nice and enjoyable weekend with a nice enjoyable peak. This did not disappoint at all. Don't let the elevation fool you, the scenery is a 10 out of 10. Still some snow patches a few places here and there. Wildflowers were spectacular. The rugged limestone cliffs were beautiful and the glaciated basins were reminiscent of being up high in the Uintas. 7 miles of nothing but scenic views. The view from the top was also splendid.

It's always a good day when I do not fall.  Sucess!

Perfect day to be outside, and Naomi was an easy and pleasant hike - you go up, then you level out for a bit, and you repeat until you reach the summit. Lovely views abound!

enjoyable fall day. Too late in the season for any flowers. Most scenic part was actually the drive up Logan canyon- the Maple trees were a brilliant red

Fall day.  Sucess!

Hiked from Tony's grove with my sister. One of the most enjoyable county high points. 10th Utah CoHP for me. Met a guy on the trail trying to do as many High Points in 24 hours as he could. He was going for 5 or 6 - Bull, Naomi, Willard, Thurston, and maybe finish with Murdock and Eccentric...hope he makes it!

Fun Climb for the gang  Sucess!

Made this climb when I was dating my soon to be wife. It was a nice hike, no technical climbing. My wife got elevation sickness, or motion sickness on the way back down.

Naomi Peak  Sucess!

Been to the top of Naomi Peak multiple times, this was the most memorable.

Summitted just as the sun was about to set in the west. An afternoon rainstorm had just rolled past, and the sun passed beneath the cloud bank for very last few minutes before sunset. The soft lighting and moisture in the air was palpable.

JPSE  Sucess!

I had hiked this mountain before (2008), but with this year's snow pack, it was no simple hike. There was still over 80 inches of snow at Tony Grove lake, and much more than that as my climbing buddy, Jono, and I made our way up. We cramponed up at Tony Grove lake, in fact. As we approached the summit, the sun was rising. At the summit, we could see that weather was moving in. We decided to do a traverse over to summit Mt. Magog anyway. The ridge to the summit of Magog was fairly corniced, but we made it without roping up (would have been smarter to do so, though). As we approached the final 200m of the push towards the top of Magog, we got hit hard with rain, sleet and then snow. We summited Magog and bolted for Tony Grove lake and home. It's great that we have a fun climb in our own backyard!!!

Very pretty hike

Seems to be everyone's first hike when they move to Logan, and I understand why. Lots of nice features along the way...wildflowers, sinkholes, large trees, etc.
