Perfect Conditions!
Thanks to a 2-day cold snap, wind and a little fresh snow, I had perfect conditions to climb NE couloir for a summit of Powell and Wesley. Stream crossings were annoying and wet but the frozen firm snow was a blessing. No one signed register in 9 months. Descended couloir, kinda tense at the top.

Sierra Challenge 2006
Climbed this peak on the 3rd day of the Sierra Challenge. Ascended via the NE Couloir (fun) and descended the SE Face (sucked) after tagging Pt Wesley. Apparently Bob Burd found a fun class 3 traverse to Mount Powell and I'm kicking myself for not following him!
