Nearing the Only Fixed Piton

[ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]

...on the Cobra in the Fisher Towers, UT. At this point I was near twenty feet in the air and was pretty much free soloing. I placed a hex in a crack for peice of mind, but knew it would do nothing if fallen on. I was pretty sketched out at this point and backed off shortly after. The Cobra is not for me. Oct, 2007.

	Hasn't voted	Thanks, I was so close but could not lock off the finger jam to clip the pin. Was not sure if the pin would hold either, so I decided to avoid the strike of the cobra. Would love to do this some day though... Dan

FYI, you are off route here. the next hold after the obvious crack is a hidden hold high and right. then you lieback and reach back left.

Just looking at this photo makes me sweat...

...and the rope wrapped around your leg in a wrong way... and just imagine how much slack you'd have to pull to try to clip in... and if you took a flyer while clipping in... it all just sends shivers down my spine :)
