Nearing the summit of Mount...
Nearing the summit of Mount Sherman (May 30, 2004). Are we having fun yet? I'm not sure if my dad will ever want to go hiking with me again.

Brutal conditions! Congrats on making it to the summit in such nasty weather... more importantly on making it back down ok :-).

Great story! It reinforces ol' Murphy when he says that ......if it can go wrong, it probably will. It also sounds like you were more worried about your dad than anything else. I know exactly how you feel. When I'm doing a mountain or hike with my wife, I'm not nearly as relaxed as when I'm with someone else. I feel more of sense of responsibility when I'm with her or the kids.
