Nevado Ampato, Volcán Sabancaya and Nevado Hualca Hualca from the east | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Nevado Ampato, Volcán Sabancaya and Nevado Hualca Hualca from the east, some 30km away.
It looks like there are only two mountains here - that's because Sabancaya, with still an unusual amount of snow for the time of year, appears to be only a shoulder of its higher neighbor Ampato.
Photo taken from a small lake west north west of Nevado Chucura.

Hasn't voted | Thanks Tomek. I had to get down twice to get the right angle for it: I first saw this little lake as I was traversing the slopes of Nevado Chucura, and so I descended a bit for a closer look. Then, standing by the lake itself, I had to kneel to get the right perspective. | | Posted Oct 7, 2011 5:29 pm |
