I guess I will have to defer to your wishes, but consider this
The niagara glen boulders have been featured in climbing magazines and websites
I saw ample evidence of hiking trails on both the canadian and american sides. Some of this was viewed from the the bottom of the canyon. The trails were being used and appeared to be of some difficulty in the vicintiy of the Whirlpool. Any thoughts on this?
PS this was my first excursion out of town after tending an ill parent for 3.5 years.
I've got to agree with Martin, much as I admire the other high-quality mountains you've posted. This one does stretch the definition of 'summit' a little more than is reasonable. Sure, there are a number of canyons and other non-peaks on SP, but they at least have interesting hiking routes and places to recreate.
You've satisifed my curiousity... though I find hgrapid comments a little off based since he sees more plausability in a stroll in florida as worthwhile SP material than an actually physically demanding hike on the gorge.
There is a bit of outside resistance to the idea of climbing in such a place-but a moments reflection on the topography should convince the reader otherwise. The bouldering here is popular.
There are a fair number of climbing sites devoted to this gorge-much more than for many small mountains. I introduced this page in an effort to point this out.
I just have to say that the best parts of this Canyon are not adjacent to the actual falls. If one looks further down stream there are certainly hiking, climbing, bouldering activities.
This page has certainly stirred up alot of emotional turmoil for many people I find that in itself to be quite awesome! It is wonderful to see people taking charge and voicing opinions on such pressing issues as the niagra gorge thing.

Untitled CommentI grew up here. There is not even a place to hike. Please delete this. No offense, I just don't think it belongs here.

Untitled Commentsee my comments. Let's see if he can make a case that there is a hike and a summit to reach. Probably not, but if he can, then it may be interesting.

Untitled CommentIf you post a route report page with some worthwhile hiking and bouldering information, I will reconsider my vote.

Untitled CommentI added route info and bouldering interest in the Niagara glen-3miles downstream from the falls.
Thank you for your interest.

Untitled CommentThanks Tim. You really should take the jeb boat trip. It's a blast
and will give you an entirely different view of the gorge. It might entice you into the Niagara Glen.
P.S. there was an alpine accident at the glen while we were there and it did not involve a barrell!

Untitled CommentMark: just because you can it doesn't mean you should. Kind of like people who swap music online: just because they can, it doesn't mean they should.
