| Did the loop backwards starting with Bear Den, Dial, to Nippletop. Unexpected snow caused no visibility, however the Elk Pass hike down was beautiful. Many fantastic singing birds around the summit of Nippletop, something I've never seen before! | |

| Came up the H.G. Leach trail and back down Elk Pass. Met some very friendly hikers on top of Nippletop whom we shared great views with looking towards the Great Range. | |

| Climbed Leach Trail and went down through Elk Pass. Nice winter hike! about 1 foot of snow at higher elevations. Crampons are needed if you go up from Elk pass. | |

| Climbed with Dial via the H. G. Leach Trail from the Ausable Club. Lots of raspberries along the trail. Amazing views of the Great Range from the summit. During the descent we hiked over to Indian Head. The view over Ausable Lake was unsurpassed. | |
