The north ridge of Mount Powell on a 20% chance of thunderstorms day. Off-trail hiking does not get any easier than this. June-30-2009

How high were you there (you can tell me in feet - I've got a converter!)?

That picture was taken at about 11,320', but the ridge does not steepen up until about 12160'. There are several other ridges in the Uintas that look very similar to this one at similar elevations. The mountains more local to me are the Wasatch and those mountains top out in the 11000' range and are very jagged at that elevation.
