Re: Way to sew it up!

:)

thanks Martin but as you well know it looks more impressive in photos - in reality it feels 4th class for the most part.

Re: Way to sew it up!

heh, heh :)

Thanks but Martin can vouch for how easy this part is (the nice positive cracks in the low angle slab are just not visible from this angle)

Re: Way to sew it up!

Yeah, I know. Nelson and Potterfield calls it 5.7. Huh?, more like class 4-.

Great photos.

Re: Way to sew it up!

We simulclimbed most of the terrain up to here but started pitching it out on this slab to take photos so actually did have decent anchors :)

Re: Way to sew it up!

I agree. I thought that the knife edge traverse on next pitch (or so?) had its .7 moments but not the slab.

Lookin' forward to that Dark Rhythm/Exfo. Dome page (been hoping to try that route - looks better from our point of view than Rainman :) How's the approach (that sidewalk slab) - can a dog make it to the base? thanks!

Re: Way to sew it up!

Sidewalk slab is fun and easy, mostly class 2, a dog should be fine. You will have to hop up a couple class 3 / 4 sections (6 feet high), and the dog might need a "lift" there.
