Nice ..If you look closely, you captured the
tallest man-made structure in Utah, the
Kennecott smokestack at 1,215 feet tall.
Hang on! Think I see a U of U student watching a Ute's game down in the stadium - fascinating!

Re: Nice ..Yes, I know it's there. According to Wikipedia it is the tallest free-standing structure west of the Mississippi and the 4th tallest smoke stack in the world.
It doesn't look too bad from far away . . .
For all the non Utahns that might read this, it is on the very right of the picture, between the dark little peak and the edge of the picture.

Re: Nice ..I was living (in Tooele) at the time they
constructed that smoke stack.
They put it up in sections, and used a
helicopter to set the sections into place.
Was hoping that a tunnel would be built
going through the Oquirrhs linking Tooele
with Salt Lake, but (as kids) we were
satisfied with riding our bicycles over
Butterfield Pass.
Zee, THANKS for bringing back a few memories
from the dusty closet.
