Northern Pikeminnow

The northern pikeminnow, also known as the squawfish is common in the larger lakes and rivers in much of the west. This one from the Pend Oreille River of north Idaho was about 12 inches long. The are generally thought of as a trashfish because they eat more desireable fish. July 2009
