Not The Standard Route Up V2

When we climbed V2 we decided not to take the climber's trail to the saddle but instead took a slightly more direct but steeper approach to the ridgeline by heading right up this gully. The rocks were very loose so we hugged this small cliff to get some hand holds to help keep traction. Once we reached the ridgeline we decided that we had made a bad choice going this route. But after descending the pebble size scree infested descent of the climber's trail we rethought that position. Either way you are stuck with loose San Juan rock. The only difference was size.
