| Climbed from the TH and took the side trail up Notch at night. Watched the sunrise on Holy Cross from the summit. Traversed the Notch. Walked half the Halo ridge, wanted to complete the loop over Holy Cross but my my friends alt. sickness turned us around. We descended the switchback trail and took the Tuhare Lakes trail back to Halfmoon TH instead of completing the loop | |

| Hike to Notch was great. Good views of the Gores. Loved the shelter. Got turned back on Halo Ridge due to high winds and approaching storms. Can't wait to go back in winter. | |

| Started at 3:30am and made it to Notch Mountain right after sunrise. The ridge was long as advertised but I didn't see a soul until the summit of Holy Cross. The north ridge seemed long but it may just be that I didn't go up that way so it was unfamiliar. Climbing back over Halfmoon Pass wasn't as tough as I had feared. Great route for a blue bird sky kind of day! | |

| We ended up here after doing Halo Ridge from Holy Cross. We didn't make it to the northern summit, but made the southern one. Guess thats why the call it notch mountain. Cool views of Cross Couloir | |

| Climbed North Ridge from HM Pass. It was actually pretty nice, and a little snow made things a bit more interesting. From Notch, continued over to Halo Ridge by way of direct class 5 assault on the notch. | |

| The final leg of the Halo Ridge. I have no idea if the route I found across the Notch is the correct route, but it worked. From the south summit, I followed the ridge along until encountering cairns where cliffs block passage to the notch. I backtracked then downclimbed a steep, loose gully on the west side that appeared to fall into oblivion. Halfway down the gully, a down-trending ledge on the left side allowed exposed 3rd class access to the scree fields below the notch. From there, traversing and a bit of Class 2+ climbing got me to the true summit. Almost gave up before finding that improbable gully. | |

| Took the "direct assault" route from the cabin down a little class 4. I made one attempt to drop down and find the ledge, but got cliffed out and gave that up. Still never saw a good traverse once on the other side. See picture. | |
