| Climbed solo on the same day that some kid committed suicide on Guanella Pass Road that leads up to the peak. Anyone ever read about this? Being a one way road, we waited three hours for them to clear the crime scene. | |

| This was the first peak in our long 12hr day that included descending the northwest ridge, over the Sawtooth's 'gendarme' and up thru the gully notch, around mt Spalding to mt Evans. Nice boardwalk in the lower wetlands or shall we say mudlands. Partly cloudy with a little wind but an excellent day hike. | |
