| The road to the trailhead really can't be called a "road" It's more like a training ground for trench warfare. We were lucky to hitch a ride up and down. The trail itself is great. Grays is a great workout and is an easy combo with Torreys if you afford yourself the time to do it. | |

| Up the standard trail from Stevens Gulch. Rental car wouldn't make it, but hitching a ride was easy. After four days hiking in CO, I'm beginning to think that almost all the locals owns a dog or two, and brings them on the trail. Kinda fun. I wish I had my dog, too. She would love this stuff. | |

| Standard route up to the saddle to Torreys, then Grays. Lots of snow but some people were still in sneakers. As one trip report was titled, the road is tougher than the hike. | |

| This was my first 14er climb (in 1994). The trail is well-marked and accessible. We had fantastic blue-sky weather that day and there were a lot of people on the mountain. Loved it. | |

| We had a group of 6, everyone had a great time. There was about 3 inches of fresh snow in the couloir with a wet consolidated layer underneath. Crampons were not needed since the conditions were ideal for kicking steps. | |

| Stared fairly early on a very clear morning in order to avoid potential thunderstorms. Unfortunately one arrived early building at 10:30. Worked our way down quickly near the bottom lightning arrived. Glad we got off the peak and did not attempt to do Torreys on this outing. | |
