| Jathan Cantu, Dan and Margaret Spare, reached the summit in 3 hours with beautiful weather and views. One of the most scenic 14ers for sure. Awesome views from the top and marmots everywhere! Storm rolled in at 1pm, but thankfully we were back at the trailhead. | |

| What a superb day for a hike, and although a long walk from Matterhorn, the trek across the alpine meadow and solitude more than compensate. We left Matterhorn at 4:30A and were on top at about 8:30A. | |

| I climbed with my brother/SP member Woodie Hopper. We camped between Uncompahgre and Wetterhorn & intended to summit both. Our attempt on Wetterhorn the next day was aborted near the summit due to an ominous building storm. | |

| An EXTREMELY windy day and very cold. I had to keep hiking at a fast pace to stay warm. Frost lined everything in the tent that morning when I woke. With the exception of 2 people, I had the mountain and basin all to myself. Despite the wind, it was a good time. Very pretty area. | |

| My wife and I climed to the peak in one hour and 45 minutes. What a beautiful fall day. WE saw many groups on the way down. IT was my 48th 14er and my wifes 43rd. What a great hike for the fall. We stayed at the crystal lodge iN Lake City the night before and Crestd Butte the night of. The following 2 days were the first fall storms. Happy trails!!!!! A must do trail!!!! Kara and Brian | ||
