    Date Climbed: Jun 6, 2009

    Went up Broads Fork and climbed snow to the N Ridge and then big, loose blocks to the summit. Saw 2 moose in Broads Fork--first time I've ever been up that drainage. Just over 3 hours from TH to summit.

    GahugafugaW Ridge via Tanners  Sucess!
    Date Climbed: Oct 30, 2008

    After climbing Sunrise, I returned to the Tanners saddle and ascended the W Ridge route on Dromedary. The descent back down Tanners was every bit as awful as expected. Tanners plus snow and skis is good. Tanners minus snow is dangerous and horrendously tedious. But I did it anyway.....

    Date Climbed: May 17, 2008

    Climbed up Tanners Gulch and summited Dromedary, then traversed the ridge to the col and went up Sunrise. Sweet 3rd class climbing from the col, and an amazing uninterrupted 1500' glissade on corn snow for the descent! 6.5 hours round trip

    5-16-09 Via Tanners, went on to complete Triple Traverse.

    5-10-08 Climbed up Tanners with an SP group. Decided not to complete the Triple Traverse for various reasons, but the glissade down Tanners was stellar.

    vanman798Without Crampons!  Sucess!
    Date Climbed: May 16, 2009

    May 16, 2009 : Did this peak as part of the Triple Traverse with a group of seven from SP. We had prime conditions.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    May 10 - 2008 : Went up Tanner's Gulch, hoping I might be "lucky" (or stupid) enough to do the triple traverse (Dromedary, O'Sullivans (aka Sunrise), and Broad Fork Twin Peaks without crampons. Once I summited Dromedary and had a look at O'Sullivans from there, a little voice told me to come back another day when I was prepared. It only took 2.5 hours to reach the peak, and the glissade down was fast as lightning. Given, that I had allotted the day to climbing, but was driving out of Little Cottonwood Canyon at 10:30 am, I decided to use the time to bag Mt. Olympus.
    Date Climbed: Aug 25, 2007
    Hiked up Broads Fork and gained the saddle between Sunrise and Dromedary; then took the west ridge to the top. I had never explored this area before. It's beautiful with plenty of solitude.
    seanpeckhamRoute Climbed: counter-clockwise loop from Broads Fork  Sucess!
    Date Climbed: Aug 11, 2007
    Solo.
    I went to the saddle above Tanner's Gulch from Broads Fork, started up the gully on the south face and branched to the right straight up the face on more solid rock, with a short ridge scramble to the top from there. Picked my way halfway down the northeast face through the sloping and scree-littered ledge system, and found the steep gully on the north ridge. Meandered in and out of that as the drop-offs necessitated, to the shoulder and back down Broads Fork. Fun and strenuous, I can't wait to try it on snow.
    The first of the three on the route. Definitely the tightest ridge, excellent alpine climbing, only a 10 minute drive from my house.
    Moogie737Triple Traverse  Sucess!
    Date Climbed: May 16, 2009
    The route to the saddle between Sunrise and Dromedary is, indeed, steep. Maintaining the north side of the chute helps to avoid the block at the very narrow notch. Although about the same climb re distance as the one to Twin Peaks, this one is definitely more challenging and strenuous. Brent W. and I made it up in 3+37. This is my 2nd time on the top, the previous one being on 8-3-03 from the Lake Blanche. #3 as part of Triple Traverse in June '07 and fourth time on 8-23-07 as part of Cottonwood Ridge to south end of Sundial ridge. Fun! 5th time at the summit was a part of the entire Cottonwood Ridge run with Dennis, Matt & Lana. The ridge run took 12 hours which included the east Twin Peak (from Broads Fork, then west to east to Alta). #6 on May 6, 2008 as part of the famous Triple Traverse. #7 as part of 2nd Cottonwood Ridge run on July 19, 2008. #8 Triple Traverse 5-16-09.
