selinunte01Weißkugel summit at last  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 1, 2005

I´ve been waiting for this since 1981 !
We took the route from Weißkugelhütte across Langtauferer Ferner and Hintereisjoch. There was a nasty ice slope below Hintereisjoch due to the late season. Great mountain.
Watched some heavy icefall down from Gepatsch Glacier onto Langtauferer Glacier on our way down. Later on there was some heavy rockfall out of Vernaglwände, boulders in the size of little houses came crashing down the slopes. Climate warming has started .....

hupfivia Weisskugelhut  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Mar 30, 2008
Climbed the Weisskugel via Weißkugelhut, Weisskugeljoch and Hintereisjoch. On the way down we crossed the Matscher, climbed to the Baerenbartjoch and skied down the Baerenbartferner. Nice weather, but strong winds on the summit (Foehn).

landroval360° skyline  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Apr 2, 2006

We went from Teufelsegg on the ridge and then down the Hintereisferner glacier, towards Hintereisjoch and then up the final slope below the summit.
We climbed the final ridge and reached the summit on foot.
From here we enjoyed a wonderful 360° skyline, all over the Alps.
That was simply amazing.
Very sunny day and great snow... this is a lucky year!

Thanks to Alessandro, Mila and Pietro.

albertofangaRoute Climbed: from Oberettes hut Date Climbed: July 2003  Sucess!

Very good ascent to the peak with clear sky but during the descent it became very foggy and we had to carefully follow our track.

walter denzelRoute Climbed: North Ridge From Weisskugelhuette Date Climbed: July 28, 2005

Mainly ice and rocks. Since 2003 there hasn't been a lot of snow on the north ridge in summer.

Claude MauguierRoute Climbed: normal east ridge Date Climbed: aug 1991  Sucess!
Alone, from Hochjoch Hospiz, I met half a dozen more mountaineers coming from the N routes, near the top. Fine weather while the sun rose, getting somewhat too cloudy for nice pictures as the morning got to its end.

Martin74Route Climbed: NW-Face Date Climbed: 25th of July 2004  Sucess!

One day before we went to to the Weisskugelhütte with some light rain. At the climbing day we had fog at the beginning. Later it was a brilliant day. The condition of the NW-Face was okay. A nice day and a suer trip.

teamguzbach.orgRoute Climbed: Brandenburger Haus >> Normal Route Date Climbed: 18. August 2002  Sucess!

Gosh this was one of my longest days in my life:

Brandenburger Haus >> Summit via Normal Route >> Weisskugel Hut >> Kauner Valley. Over 25km (only horizontal!) in high alpine terrain. I was really wasted in the end ... but a nice trip

dedoRoute Climbed: Hintereisjoch from Brandenburger Haus Date Climbed: 17. August 2002  Sucess!

Leaving the hut at 5:15, we saw the mountain in an unusual light before and at sunrise. Good weather, much snow on glaciers and a summit view up to Piz Bernina. The way back to hut in the hot afternoon takes ages, especially after you climb the Vernaglwand. Anyway, the moments on summit are unforgetable.

Mathias ZehringRoute Climbed: several Date Climbed: 1988 - 1999  Sucess!

September 21st 1988 - south route from the Oberettes hut

a nice day in fall, good conditions, pure pleasure

July 25th 1999 - north ridge from Weisskugel hut

It was a splendid day on the most beautiful of the normal routes. Many people on the summit from the different routes. The direct descent via the east side was a bit dangerous because of very soft snow. A perfect weekend trip!
