| I led this trip with 4 other hikers through meetup.com. The place was a madhouse. We arrived at the trailhead just after 6AM, and there were already a whole bunch of cars parked along McCullough Gulch Road, and more coming in behind us. We reached the summit around 8:45 and there was a good sized crowd up there. There is still some snow up on the summit ridge. Weather was great, a little windy up top, but it was sunny, with great views. When we got back down to Point 13146, we could see a great big conga line of people headed up to the summit. We saw a couple of mountain goats hanging around the trail on the way down. A great day all in all. |
