| The first stop of a Stanton-Virginia dayhike out of the Green Lake TH. (It was supposed to be Stanton-Virginia-Twin Peaks, but I ran out of time thanks to the very tedious Stanton-Virginia traverse). Stanton was a surprisingly fun scramble on solid rock, with nice views. I liked this peak better than Virginia.
I kept to the spine of the ridge when descending to Stanton Pass; this is easy but fun class 3 in places. (The north ridge stays the reported class 2 if you drop down just a little a bit, but this looked to be less fun on looser rock). |
