Bob SihlerRoute Climbed: Franconia Ridge Date Climbed: July 3, 2003  Sucess!

not like summits out West, but cool to be on tundra in the East

One more false summit would make this peak even better, don't ya think? After leading 9 teenagers from Garfield, finally reaching the summit was a blessing and well worth the climbing. We were enroute to Greenleaf Hut for the evening and had a nice clear day on the ridge.

James_WRoute Climbed: Old Bridal Trail Date Climbed: August, 2004  Sucess!

Fantastic hike on a hot day. Trail is easy going, small scrambles on the agonies. Meeting the hut at treeline is a welcome site to those low on water. Views are beautiful ascending the ridge.

nartrebRoute Climbed: Bridle Path - Falling Waters loop (both directions) Date Climbed: several  Sucess!

Easy to see why this is such a popular hike. Go during the week if possible, or during the winter.

fryinbaconRoute Climbed: Falling Waters/Shining Rock Date Climbed: December 29 2004  Sucess!

Hiked up Falling Waters Trail, brought the ice climbing gear and soloed Shining Rock... I'd say it goes at WI2 for a little over 100'.

Did the traverse many years ago....just finding this site now of course. I remember this hike being the first time I saw snow falling in Summer.

Wahoo, this is a great climb. It doesn't let up, but its well worth it. If only it wasn't so popular, but its no wonder why it is.

cragRoute Climbed: Complete double traverse Date Climbed: June 18, 1994  Sucess!

Have done the traverse many times. The most interesting was when we hiked up the Slide Trail on Flume, then went N over Liberty, Little Haystack, and Lincoln, to the summit of Lafayette. The we turned arund and traversed the other way, back to Liberty and descended from there. Brutal!
