| As part of a return trip to Algonquin. The hike up to the turn off was a bit icy in some parts from the October snowfalls melting and refreezing overnight. After the turnoff to the summit of Wright, the trail was more icy, although hikers were still making it without any extra gear. I used crampons, and these worked the best for the conditions. Above the treeline, it was just bare rock most all the way to the summit.
Great views of Algonquin. Never did find the b-47 crash, but didn't look hard for it either. |
