| My guide Mr. Shalom & I left Tehran at 5 a.m. Had breakfast at a place on Chalus Road. Were at trailhead in Kalak Bala Village at 9. Hired a mule to carry our heavy backpacks to Chooren Pass. Set up tent at the very windy pass and took a long nap. Headed for the summit at 4:20 and summited at 5:40. Awesome views. Too bad the evening haze and sun glare blurred or completely obstructed many other views. Very windy. No one else on the mountain (Monday). |
