| Bagged this one on a bright, sunny and cool day. It was a beautiful hike, but the hordes of slow moving hikers made for a long, slow and noisy ascent. If I come back to this peak it will be in the off season! | |

| This hike would make a good early season warm up because of the excellent views. I really have no clue why it's rated "strenuous" by the park service; it's basically flat until the trail heads up the SW gully and only then becomes > easy. It was windy and cold at the top. I hiked this with my wife Anna. Route Climbed: East Face Date Climbed: March 14, 2005 Success! We expected a winter climb that would feel like spring, and got that, until we reached ~10K ft., when the temperature dropped like a brick. The route's false summits, mixed snow conditions, and wind-chill made the climb all the more exciting. Climbed with balajisv. | |

| Was wearing shorts and a t-shirt by 8 am on a super hot april day. The route up is pretty straight forward, just stay slightly to the north of the main ridge. The snowboard down was awesome! Probably the last time this season to ride to the base of the climb as the snow is melting right quick. | |

| Solo hike after first dusting of snow in Tahoe area. I was alone on the way up which was really nice. Got super cold and windy once I gained the ridge. Lots of hoar frost - made it look like a moonscape above treeline. Tons of people and dogs were heading up as I descended. | |

| A very busy day on the trail due to the fact that the Nevada Wilderness Conservation Society (or something to that effect) had carried three pony kegs to the summit, where they were selling beer. Apparently it's an annual event. Unfortunately, I only had a dollar, which I didn't feel was a fair "donation" for a beer - most people were paying $4-5. Oh well, entertaining nonetheless. | |

| Somehow convinced my girlfriend to do this one after partying the whole weekend for July 4th in Reno. Hungover but that faded fast. Nice waterfall, pretty scenery. | |
