| Tagged this and Mount Burnham via the PCT from Dawson Saddle. Honestly, this is one of the most beautiful hikes in the San Gabriels. The summit is unusual and the trail is never harder than moderate difficulty. Highly recommended especially from Dawson, I think its a 10 mile hike and a few thousand feet of gain. | Beautiful day to break trail in 6-12" of the gooey-est snow I've been in for a long long time! Winds were a wonderful sustained 35mph with gusts that nearly knocked me over but the sun was out and we stayed pretty warm. Can't wait for a couple more feet of wet stuff to set this baby up for some ski descents! Tagged Burnham as well....boring summit. | |
