WasatchvoyageVia Waas.  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 9, 2009

Beaver Basin approach to Waas, then over the ridge to Manns. The La Sal Mountains are incredible. I saw NO ONE the entire time while I was up there, not even in the Beaver Basin area.

Perfect day for our first peaks in the La Sal's. Also hopped over "Point 11947." The weather was perfect and there was enough snow left up high for great photos.

BritetteDuring Ski Traverse of N La Sals  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Apr 20, 2008

Came from Geyser Pass, along Burro Ridge and dropped onto south ridge of Manns. Could skin all the way to Summit. Skied the north face with Seth and Jack B, into Beaver basin. Then hit Mineral and Green before exiting at Miners.

seth@LOKIFrom Gates of the North  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jul 14, 2006

Short day with rain coming on after climbing the sub peak between Manns and Tomasaki. Met the huge Cyclops eye-patch cowboy in the Gates of the North then was spooked by a flock of crows on the ridge up. Eerie...but I'm intrigued for more. It seems to take many folks a day or three to climb the La Sals, its taken me years...

Date Climbed: May 30, 2004

If the truth be told, we were attempting to climb Waas but our lack of good maps lead us to Manns Peak before finally figuring out where Waas was located. It's a a nice peak, though and in retrospect I'm glad we messed up our intended route!

rmjwintersRoute Climbed: South Slopes Date Climbed: June, 2003  Sucess!

I drove to the end of the road and parked at 10,600 ft. I climbed up over Burro Ridge and dropped down to Burro Pass. From Burro Pass I continued up the south slopes to the summit. It was windy and I didn't stay long. I decided to traverse to Mt. Tomasaki and return by dropping straight down the southwest slopes of Tomasaki.

We departed from castle valley just below the La Sal mountains sometime around 9am. very pleasant drive up to the base through rich cedars. the trail provided for a very technically easy hike but a very long distance up to 12,000+ ft. the summit displayed an amazing view of the surrounding peaks and the desert valleys below. A very long but rewarding day to say the least. returned just before sunset.
