Zero visibility with icy route, but great climb...

SzaniUherkovichRe: Busiest Mountain I've ever done

Yes, I keep Grauspitz in mind. Just - as far as I know - there is no trail up to the peak. And I don't like uncertain situations so much

Let me gig-wise bring down the count again. 3 weeks ago on Grauspitz (Liechtenstein), 4-6 people to the summit for the whole day. So think about this summit if you are keen on solidarity.

Hi Joseph! 10 years ago going to Rysy (Poland) on the north route I counted 4000 people!

Date Climbed: Aug 3, 2009

Did this with the last 400 m of ascent shrouded in clouds. Was some sleet at the top even in early august. The views were good while I had them, but the trail is FULL of tourists. I counted people going up on my way down and I passed over 260 people! The sign at the base said 160,000+ people use the mountain every year, and I believe it. Busier even than Arthur's seat in Edinburgh.

as two days before was really bad weather on today´s way up it was pretty busy with lots of people going up and down. It looked like everyone wants to be on the top. At the start of the walk we´got some showers, then all way up and down nice weather with great views and on the top snowing with ice. What could you wish more :-)

Date Climbed: Jul 26, 2009

Started from Inverlochy and ascended on the normal route. I did the ascent from the trailhead in 2 hours and the descent in 1:45 hours. I overtook everybody and was the first on the peak on this day. It was almost constantly raining - no visibility. Back for breakfast in Inverlochy at 8:45 a.m.

Date Climbed: Apr 12, 2008

Tried it via the normal route, but it was a bit early in the season with deep snow, and I missed not having an ice axe. Since the weather (and the forecast) looked like turning, I bailed about an hour from the summit.

Climbed with my wife after completing the West Highland Way. An incredible week... An inch of snow at sea level made for an fun and interesting climb. Views on the way up/down, total whiteout on top- very cold. glad to have a compass...

Date Climbed: Feb 24, 2009

We climbed to the summit on Indicator right hand (V,5) and than descended to do Smith's route (V,5). Although it was to warm (the ice was melting very fast!) we had a great day of climbing. Climbed with Dave Sykes during the BMC International Meet 2009.
