| Climbed with Galehead via the Garfield Trail from Gale River Road. Beautiful trail leading up to Garfield's rocky and exposed summit. Great views of the Franconias, Twins and of the greater Pemigewasset Wilderness. | |

| Garfield is an amazing summit to me ~ being able to look over and see Lafayette, Lincoln and Little Haystack looming in the distance. I had a clear day with spectacular views on the 4th day of our 5 day adventure. We stopped for over an hour on Garfield and had lunch. As promised, I said hello to my friends "Uncle John" whose ashes had been scattered there years ago. | |
