Woodie HopperFrom Schwägalp  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 16, 2009

A nice alpine hike. I'm glad bad weather near Zürich didn't deter me, since the weather was fine while I was there. This was my third trip to the gipfel. Maybe next time I'll bring the kids.

Little_MoleLysenkamm  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jun 12, 2009

On a wet and stormy day I made the approach via Lysenkamm, coming from Rotsteinpass. The weather cleared by reaching the summit and the day became just great.

Summer 1984 – Lisengrat

A fine hiking trip with a group from the alpine club. We started at Hoher Kasten cablecar and walked all along the ridge of the massif to Rotsteinpass, climbed Lisengrat route and slept on the summit hotel. Continued the route the next day back to the northern valleys

February 14th 1998

Famous ski trip: took the cablecar from Schwägalp to the summit, skied down to the north, climed Rotsteinpass and akied down to the Toggenburg valley.

I always like seeing this mountain from the surrounding area. It looks so cool with its big tower on top. I just rode the aerial tramway to the top, but it is really fun to hike around the summit.

BennoRoute Climbed: Wasserauen - Seealpsee - Summit and return Date Climbed: June 6, 2004  Sucess!

This time together with Edda it was my 12th summiting of Saentis. Never saw so much snow up there in summer time. And we actually saw and heard a number of avalanches coming down the slopes of the opposite ridge. We took the normal route from Wasserauen (868m) via Meglisalp (1517m) to the top (2502m). Saentis was my first more "serious" mountain, which I summited the first time in 1993.

Did this mountain as an 11 year old kid during a holliday. The only thing I can remember is that snow during the summer months.

It gave me the drive to catch up climbing 26 years later. I defenitly come back some day!
