I was 13. DOn't remember if we summitted as I didn't care about things like that then. Just went up the walkers route. Went with my uncle and grandparents. Lots of fun! Would love to go back again.

Date Climbed: Jul 24, 2008

With the weather looking decent and after a warmup up on the CMD at Ben Nevis the day prior I wanted to give this route a try. The Buachaille is without a doubt one of the most beautiful mountains I've ever been on. Fantastic day out scrambling and probably one of the best days I've had in the mountains.

BonesawEpic for a hiker!  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 23, 2001

Nearly killed myself! I was hiking the West Highland Way in Oct and hadn't seen the sun yet, when I got the bright idea to climb the Buachaille. The weather was overcast, but I could see the summit, so I went for it. More clouds rolled in as I reached the summit and it began to rain. Visibility was about 15-20 ft (sorry not in meters) and I ended up descending a very steep and wet gully. Thought I might fall to my death on several occasions. This was all done solo nonetheless. Not smart!!!

tphubbardRan up  Sucess!

Midges chased me all the way up from road on a hot summers day , so ran up and down then jumped in the river. Left Julia at road being eaten by midges too!

Stayed in the hut at the base for 6 days with the uni mountaineering club, fabulous place. Wake up, step outside the door and you had the most tranquil environment. Spent a day travelling all over this baby, passed some rather beleagured path maintainance guys on the way up. Shame we had to have all the fun! :) Am completely in love with the wilderness of Scotland, even driving from place to place is an absoloute pleasure. Isle of Skye definitely on the things to do list!

Almost summer conditions at the end of Jan! Very little snow except the final 200m Curved ridge is a great route and takes in the best aspect of the mountain.

Sat on top in inversion which was great

Dropped my guidebook half way up :-(, anyone seen it ?

waspeeRoute Climbed: Curved ridge Date Climbed: 10 july 2005  Sucess!

went up via curved ridge which was a lot of fun. Then traversed to the next munro at the other end of the main ridge up top. Descended towards Glen etive from here and the so called green gully as we had left a car there. Although this descent looks ok from the bottom, it is quite nightmarish as it is basically a boulder field covered in grass and ferns! Tricky. Overall an amazing day out!

mylesRoute Climbed: January Jigsaw to Agag's Groove Date Climbed: May 14, 2003  Sucess!

Moved onto Agag's after two pitches when snow and sleet set in; on to Crowberry Tower and then to summit.

Wonderful day in the hills.

Nice climb, scrambling, some climbing finish in steep snow.

Beautiful, but not too easy finding route.

Chamonix ManRoute Climbed: "January Jigsaw" on the Ranoch Face Date Climbed: June 1998  Sucess!

Climbed this route with a friend and then scrambled to the summit. It was my first multi pitch climb and one of the climbs that got me interested in mountaineering.

madmountaineerRoute Climbed: Walkers route Date Climbed: April 2001  Sucess!

What an excellent mountain! we only intended on walking around the foot of the cliff but the weather picked up so we climbed to the summit! It was good fun in the snow, which got very wet later. Didnt have time for a full traverse of the ridge. I will definitely traverse the ridge in another winter, and a route up those impressive cliffs is a definite. IS GLEN COE INCREDIBLE OR WHAT?????

Phil McLeanRoute Climbed: Traverse (normal route) Date Climbed: 4th Septemeber 2000  Sucess!

From car park at Alltnafeadh, up Coire na Tulaich to summit. Traversed ridge and dropped down to Lairig Gartain. Misty start, burnt off on summit, but remained hazy all day.
