| We extended the mileage by walking the dirt road from 550. Great views & the wildflowers were vibrant in the surrounding meadows. We had the peak to ourselves. | |

| Consolation peak as we had to change plans due to bad weather hitting the area. Nice little hike and short. We managed to get back to the car before more bad weather hit. | |

| An early winter storm was moving in. We needed a quick and sweet climb and this mountain fit the bill wonderfully. The unobstructed view is a great reward for such an easy climb. The mountain is situated toward the south end of the Red Mountain sub range in the heart of the western San Juan, a place I have not been to before, so this was a new and exciting thing for me to do. This mountain is worth your time if you're short on it and need a quick altitude fix, and the view will not disappoint! Many thanks to SP member Nader for his informative SP page, which was instrumental in our decsion to climb this mountain. | |
