| This hike is awesome! Canyon splendor and waterfalls to boot! I would have to say that Havasu Canyon contains three of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen! As always, feel free to check out our extended trip report and tons of photos on our personal website at Natural Born Hikers | ||

| Many routes and many canyons. All of my trips have been away from any trails since 1989. To experience "The real Grand Canyon" you must hike days away from any trails. | ||

| I've done this route three times now. The Canyon is always beautiful. I've done the round trip in anywhere from 6 hours to two days, depending on my partner. If you hike or back pack, it's a must. | ||

| One of my favorite hikes of all time. The north rim is the best kept secret of the Grand Canyon. A lot cooler, not as many tourons, and.....just nice. See our trip report with photos here. | ||

| Nice day hike. I motored down the south side trail pretty quickly, stopped briefly at the bottom, then the North Rim trail up. I think it is about 21 miles total. My first trip to the Canyon. Would love to spend some time exploring down there. My time was just over 6.5 hours. Looks like some great whitewater down there. | ||

| My husband, J, and I have been down in the Grand Canyon on several occassions and via several different trails. The only date I'm sure of is this one, our last visit into the Grand Canyon. It's an enchanted and addicting place. I'm not done with it yet. | ||

| Josh | Route Climbed: Most recently a South-Rim-to-North-Rim-to-South-Rim hike/run Date Climbed: Many ![]() | |
| Each time I visit the Grand Canyon, I swear I'll never go back. I've been down to the Colorado River on 6 or 7 different occasions. I've taken the trade routes as well as done some more remote, multi-day loops. My most recent jaunt was an impromptu 44 mile South-Rim-to-North-Rim-to-South-Rim day hike/run in November, 2002. | ||

| Nice loop, easy grade, lots o'traffic, lots o'donkey-dung, Great views. I prefered Hermit-Boucher Loop over the South Kaibab-Bright Angel Loop. The Cheops Pyramid and Oneil Butte are next. | ||

| Yep, doing this trail in the summer is stupid. Yep, it was hot. The north rim trail had lots of surprises. More water and wildlife than I expected to see. Some parts almost felt like a jungle. We drank watered down gatorade, highly recommended to replace salts, fluids, and energy. | ||

| What a great hike....just enough heat to make things interesting. My husband (SP mtntrail2) and I enjoyed our stay on the North Rim (great Salmon Fettucine) and loved the Phantom Ranch. Hike out was great and there is a bar at the top (boy was that great). | ||

| Hiked down to the Colorado River twice. Once via the Hermit trail with Josh (no mule dung!) - 18.6 mile dayhike. The second via Havasu Canyon - 42 miles over 3 days. The Havasu Canyon hike is my favorite hike of all time. It's just gorgeous. There is one small section of rope-assisted 3rd class (class 4 w/o the rope). Here are some photos: Hermit Trail, Havasu Canyon. | ||

| South Kaibab/Bright Angel Loop. Mid March 2001. Second time in GC for us. Great backpack as well but much more crowded than the Hermit/Boucher loop in November year before. Great weather during the 3 days. Phantom Ranch area is a nice place to chill by the Colorado (on a sandy beach). Saw a bighorn sheep on The River Trail (name??) portion of the loop. Snapped many a picture of tourists on mule-back clad in "Mule Rider" (bright yellow, huge letters) rain parkas. Want to come back to do a rim to rim backpack and would love to see more of the Tonto trail. Hermit/Boucher Loop. Early Nov. 2000: My wife and I backpacked this little loop over 3 (easy pace) days. A classic backpacking trip!!! Beautiful scenery. Rain and hail on day 1, perfect weather for rest of time. | ||
