The previous two days had entailed 9,000 feet of ascent so we were a ittle slow this day. Had a great play on the wire bridge at Steall followed by a huge slog of almost three and a half thousand feet.
The descent was the icing on the cake. We used the cable car for the ski centre for free. All that remained was a taxi ride back to the road end @ Glen Nevis. Great day.
Route Climbed: Golden Oldie Date Climbed: Jan 2004
We were thinking of going to the East face, but snowfall and prevailing winds suggested this wasn't very sensible. So instead we climbed a mixed ridge route on the West face in warm, lean conditions. Good fun route and fairly good weather. Just made it back to the Gondola in time.
Route Climbed: Our own on the west face Date Climbed: January 2001
We climbed a nice mixed route on the west face, following one of the ribs north of Gendarme ridge, about scottish grade 2, quite good weather for scotland in January
