| I love the remoteness of this small mountain. I've done it in all time of the year. It has some wonderful multi-pitch rock climbs and the back is a cool scramble with good views. | |

| Quartz is definitely not for the faint of heart. But the more I climb there, the more I like it. This is a classic area put up by some great climbers. Outstanding granite face and slab climbing. | |

| My father and I drove down for a quick jaunt, hoping to find a third class scramble when we stumbled upon a gully shooting up at a diagonal between technical routes. We took it and offshoots to the top of a subpeak slightly to the north before we realized that we had strayed from the main mountain. An easy traverse accross a saddle and some more light scrambling brought us to the main summit. We returned to the subpeak and took an easy class 3 gully back to the bottom. The climbing on the original gully was sustained class 3 with some class 4 moves. It was a great climb at a great peak. | |
