| Planned was an ascend on a sunny and warm day but the winds were so strong that it knocked us down several times, the North ridge was one big ice field and we had to turn back 200 meters under the summit because of the heavy strom. | |

| Climbed Wildstrubel the day before, traversed over Roter Totz and spent the night at Schwarenbach. Skied north ridge/NW face of Rinderhorn which is quite steep but a lot of fun. | |

| Lots of snow left made it possible to do this as a day climb from Kandersteg. The weather was horrid all that summer. | |

| Lots of scree, but an interesting route though ;-) After an unusually warm month of june there was only about 10 cm of snow left on the hard ice of the final slope. Enough for me, but maybe not very funny later in the year :-( On the way down I was greated by a wallcreper (colourful little bird) near the Rindersattel :-) | ||
