ckerthFrom Raymond Lake  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 3, 2009

Left from Lower Sunset Lake. Followed the PCT to the turnoff for Raymond Lake and climbed from there. My dog made the summit also. Plenty of clouds made for a nice day of climbing.

96avs01Nov. Dayhike  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Nov 10, 2006

Very nice dayhike, nearly complete snow-free in November! Ascended the SW Ridge from Wet Meadows and descended one of the chutes on the West face. Interesting lenticulars were forming as we left the Hope Valley, maybe winter finally arrived!

mlarkin2002W. and SE. faces  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 5, 2004
Climbed the loose W. face with three others. Descended the even looser SE. face/chute back to the PCT. A long day that probably didn't need to have been that long (originally planning on Reynolds also)

Date Climbed: Sep 12, 2004

Walked up from Raymond Lake. What is all of this about class 2/3 scrambling? The route I took was mostly class 1, with a little easy class 2 at the end.

SawtoothSeanSmoky  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Aug 1, 1996

When reminiscing, we refer to the Mokolumne Wilderness as the Smokey Wilderness because of our experience here. Climbed Camiaca Peak the day before and woke up in the backcountry the next day to very thick smoke from a fire to the east. It was pretty thick and alarming, so we neaded out. Glad we saw the beautiful scenary on the way in.

DaveWillmottRoute Climbed: North West Chute ascent, Raymond Lake descent Date Climbed: July 31, 2005  Sucess!

A Sierra Club trip. We took the Wet Meadows Trailhead towards Raymond Lake. Just past an overlook where the switchbacks are we we began hiking cross country in a southerly direction until we attained a long ridge line at 8400ft. From there we continued south parallel to a wall until we could see a chute just below the summit. Some of our group took a class 4 route up at the summit block while others took the class 2-3 route either to the right or the left.

Eric LRoute Climbed: Southwest Face Date Climbed: 30 July 2005  Sucess!

I climbed this peak with a bunch of Sierra Club members. We took a class 2-3 chute before we got to the Southwest ridge. The chute took us to the base of the summit block where we climbed a class 3 route to the top. It was a lot of fun and great weather.

Camped at Raymond Lake. Weird bouldering on conglomerate rock nearby was a plus.
