| Kind of an ugly summit with all the buildings and towers and it's a little disappointing that one can't reach the actual summit without trespassing... seeing the remote-monitored cameras was a bit of a buzz-kill. But a good view of Mt Evans, Longs Peak, a bit of the divide, and of course Denver and the front range. The trails get thin in places requiring a little scrambling and route finding but all in all this would make a pretty decent early season warm up hike. | ||

| Climbed this route with the IU Trekkers. Traversed Green Mountain, Dinosaur Ridge and finished with Mount Morrison's Monocline Route. Awesome day, great warm up with all kinds of terrain to warm up on. Still lots of snow up high, so Morrison fills the bill nicely! My thanks to the IU Trekkers for making this experiment a success! | ||

| This was a wonderful hike. We parked our cars at the East entrance of Green Mountain. We then summited Green Mountain, crossed over C470, hiked up the Zorro trail to Dinosaur ridge, crossed another road, up part of the red rocks trail, the made an ascent up Mt Morrison via the Monoclin Route. It was an 9.8 mile day, and a GREAT hike! | ||

| Mount Morrison is a mountain I climbed often as a teenager before I grew confident enough to climb big mountains on my own. It is a great training hike and a pleasant place to experience the first green grasses of spring. I have been up this mountain a lot. The main downside is the true summit is a fenced off radio tower dump. Still the approach is scenic and it is decent exercise. Long live Morrison. Jon | ||

| I've been wanting to hike this for a while now. I intended to do so yesterday but there wasn't enough daylight. Today I made it although I returned in the dark. I climbed the east ridge to the summit facility then descended to the east side of the dome. Then I climbed the dome. My route took me over class 3 - 5 terrain. No sustained class 5 climbing right around where I was. It was fun but soon over. | ||

| A great mountain so close to Denver. Great for getting in shape in the early season. Wonderful views of Mt Evans. Aaron Johnson, my favorite climbing partner, introduced me to this mountain and we have climbed it many times together. | ||

| Morrison is the only mountain o SP I have climbed more than once. It only takes me 15 minutes to drive to this mountain so I'm assuming I will be visiting this mountain for years to come. | ||

| 2006 & 2007 Climbed several route combinations. 2005: Early IU Trekker outing-climbed Monocline, descended Amphitheater. Also climbed this route about a month and a half later. 2004: Climbed Amphitheater Loop, reconned the Southwest Ridge in the spring and completed it in the fall. Also developed and executed the Mount Morrison Marathon with the IU Trekkers-a big success! 2003: Climbed the north ridge route. saw all kinds of water pouring forth from the mountain due to our late heavy snow, unusual for this peak, which is more akin to desert hiking. Also climbed Amphitheater and descended East Ridge. I've lost count of how many times I've climbed Mount Morrison, dating back to my young teen days. It now serves as a get-in-shape outing, and a great way to introduce beginners to hiking and climbing. Always a fun time, awesome view, and interesting moonlight trip. This is a fun mountain, full of scrambling possibilities, wildlife and flowers. The Monocline and East Ridge routes are my favorites, but all routes listed here are fun and are as challenging as you like. I heard a number of concerts from Red Rocks over the years while on the mountain. Red Rocks makes this mountain quite special. Mount Morrison may be seen by more people around the world through concert videos than any other Colorado peak. | ||
