| One of the hardest climbs I ever made! Though there are no major problems you have to go through 100m of altidude, 500m of which have to be climbed through very fine lava gravel. Two steps up, one step down, so in fact you have to climb approx. 1250m! The view of the huge crater (1 square km) is breathtaking as well as the view up to Teide and down to the Cañadas del Teide. Our descent was fun - one step in the gravel made three steps an normal ground though none of us has been ever as dirty as after that day. |
